MAC|LIFE READERS PREDICT THE FUTURE
We’re hoping
Bradley’s Apple
HDTV comes
complete with this
sleek, mood-lit
living room too.
Back in January, we presented our predictions for
Apple gear of the future and asked you to send us your
dream products, as designed by our favorite company
from Cupertino. We saw everything from subtle riffs
on existing products like Apple TV to entirely new
creations that amounted to wearable Macs. But in the
end, it was Bradley Williamson’s elegant design for an
Apple HDTV (as in, an actual television set) that struck
us as both the most plausible and the most awesome.
Bradley writes, “The Apple HDTV set has Apple TV
integrated into it so music and movies can be streamed
directly to the HD screen. A 10MP iSight webcam
allows chatting with family members to be done in
more of a personal setting—I’m sitting in their living
room, and they’re sitting in mine. The entire screen
is touchscreen, allowing easy selection of music and
movies. Of course, that can be done from a remote
as well.”
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best ones.
